Peter Donohoe is a world-renowned classical pianist. He has performed with various orchestras from all over the world, including the Royal Concertgebouw, Leipzig Gewandhaus, and Munich Philharmonic, among others. His extensive global tours have taken him to many countries in South America, Europe, Asia, and the USA. Donohoe has also worked with many of the world’s leading conductors, including Christoph Eschenbach, Kurt Masur, and Gustavo Dudamel, to name a few.

In addition to his impressive performances, Donohoe is a highly respected jury member for international competitions. He has served on the juries of many notable competitions, including the International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition, the Queen Elisabeth Competition, and the Hong Kong International Piano Competition, among others. This highlights his reputation as a respected and trusted figure in the classical music industry.

Donohoe has recorded numerous albums that have been well-received by both critics and audiences alike. His recent recordings of Mozart’s piano sonatas with SOMM Records received high praise from BBC Music Magazine and Gramophone. His recordings of Prokofiev’s piano sonatas for SOMM were also highly acclaimed by both critics and listeners. Furthermore, Donohoe has recorded Cyril Scott’s Piano Concerto with the BBC Concert Orchestra and Martin Yates and Malcolm Arnold’s Fantasy on a Theme of John Field with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Martin Yates, among other works.

Donohoe’s contributions to classical music have been recognized through several honors and awards, including being an honorary doctor of music at seven UK universities and receiving a CBE for services to classical music in the 2010 New Year’s Honours List.
