Melos Buza is a Kosovar pianist known for his work as a soloist, chamber musician, and artistic collaborator. He completed his primary and secondary music education in Gjakova and Prishtina, actively participating in numerous national and international music competitions.
In 2006, he began his studies at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina. As part of a study visit to Norway, he attended lessons with professors Eva Schwartz and Jiri Hlinka at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo. Upon returning to Prishtina, he continued his studies under Prof. Lejla Pula and graduated in 2015.
During his studies, Buza gave frequent performances both as a soloist and chamber musician. A highlight of his early career was his performance of Franz Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major and the P. I. Tchaikovsky Concerto for Piano and Orchestra nr.1 (b-minor) with the Kosovo Philharmonic Orchestra. He continues to perform regularly with the Kosovo Philharmonic as a piano accompanist and artistic collaborator and now is the regular piano accompanist at the Kosovo Opera institution.
Buza has participated in several music festivals in Kosovo, including the European Summer Music Academy (ESMA) in Prishtina. He has also taken part in masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Sveinung Bjelland, Hakon Austbo, S. Moller and others, further refining his artistry.
