ChopinPianoFEST Prishtina Special Prize 2022
ChopinPianoFEST Prishtina Special Piano Festival Award is now a traditional festival award given to a young pianist.
This Award is given with the support of Dr. Herbert Groeger from Bad Honnef / Salzburg in collaboration with our Kosova pianist Ardita Statovci, who was the initiator for the organization of this special award since 2017.
The audition for the Special Piano Prize awarded within the ChopinPianoFest Prishtina for a talented young talent from Kosovo, will be held on May 26th, 2022 starting at 15.00h in the New Amphitheater of the University Library.
Eligible to participate in the audition are the piano students of the Faculty of Arts of UP and the piano students of the music schools of Kosovo, winners of prizes in previous competitions, who in their repertoire have a prepared program lasting 60 minutes.
In the selection audition, candidates must perform a 45 min program, including a mandatory work by Beethoven (Sonatas, Variations, Bagatella or other shorter works by this composer) or a work by R. Schuman.
The rest of the repertoire is free. Candidates are encouraged to include some of the Albanian composers in the program. The audition program is played by memory.
In advance, by May 15th 2021, those interested should apply by sending to the organizers by email [email protected] the recital program-proposal (in written form, the complete program lasting 60 min and a part for bis (encore )) which the winning candidate would play in the concert, if awarded as the winner.
Candidates who do not apply with the written program and with the relevant details until May 15th, 2022, will not be able to play in the audition.
Winners of the preliminary editions of the ChopinPianoFEST Special Prize will not be eligible to compete.
In this edition the special prize of Chopin Fest includes:
a) a recital concert in Germanophone countries Germany or Austria during the season 2021-2022
b) master class (depending on the term)
c) Visit to places of historical musical importance in Germanophone countries
d) acquaintance with the culture of this region
All costs are covered by the Special Prize sponsor.
