Benedetto MUNZONE completed his studies at the Conservatory of Parma and the Music Academy “Walter Stauffer” in Cremona with Rocco Philippines. He concentrated further on chamber music, performing together with Cecilia Chailly, Boris Petrushanski, Rocco Filippini and Bruno Canino, Maxence Larrieu, etc. He is a soloist of the Mantua Chamber Orchestras, both at the Philharmonic Academy in Milan and at the Camerata Polifonica Siciliana.

He regularly performs as a soloist at renowned European Festivals, Exhibitions with various chamber assemblies in the Sala Verdi in Milan, in the Tonhalle Saal of Zurich, in the Cairo Opernhaus, in the Gasteig in Munich, and the Concert Hall in Klagenfurt. He recorded for RAI Cinema Fiction, and Euroradio Record for the City Xclassic.

The framework of the Erasmus Program includes him teaching Cello and Chamber Music courses at the Superior Conservatory of Murcia and the Superior Conservatory of Malaga.

He plays an “Enrico Orselli” cello in 1911.
