
Alberto Salomon was born in Castelfranco Veneto in 1972. He attended the Conservatory in this city and obtained a Diploma in Viola under the guidance of Maestro Luca Volpato in 1994 with full marks, also completing his higher studies.
He was a pupil of Bruno Giuranna at the “Walter Stauffer” Academy in Cremona and attended the lessons of Franco Gulli, Fedor Druzhinin, Danilo Rossi, Wolfram Christ, and Jodi Levitz. He studied Chamber Music with Franco Rossi and Massimo Somenzi. In the formation of the Quartet with piano, he obtained the 2nd prize at the International Competition “Città di Stresa” in 1993. To his credit, he has concerts in duo formation with piano, string trio, string quartet, and piano quartet with soloists such as M. Brunello, M.Somenzi, D. Rossi and S.Tchakerian.
He worked as the first viola at various important Italian orchestral institutions (Orchestra of the Teatro “La Fenice”, Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, Regional Orchestra “A.Toscanini” of Parma). He’s been a part of the Italian string orchestra directed by Mario Brunello since its foundation, in 1994. He took part in some of the projects of the “Mozart” Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Claudio Abbado. After having been part of the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, in 2000 he started working at the Chamber Orchestra of Padua and Veneto and he’s been the first Viola since 2007.
He plays the viola of “F. Guidantus ”, dated in 1692, which belonged to Maestro Bruno Giuranna.
