Philip Scheucher is the prize winner of the “International Music Competition in Cologne”, and the second prize winner of the International Beethoven Competition in Vienna. Other prestigious awards include first prizes in three international competitions – the “International Music Competition in Cologne”, the “Aarhus International Piano Competition” in Denmark, and the “Premio Vila de Xàbia” in Spain. In February 2016 he was awarded second prize at the “13th UNISA International Piano Competition” in Pretoria/South Africa and in the summer of 2017 he was a finalist at the “Pianale 2017” in Germany with no less than six prizes. Philipp Scheucher also celebrated his US debut at the famous “Van Cliburn” competition in Fort Worth, Texas. In both 2018 and 2022, he performed at the renowned “Honens International Piano Competition” in Calgary, Canada as one of the ten best young pianists in the world. At the International Telekom Beethoven Competition 2021 in Bonn, he was awarded the Beethoven House Prize as the audience favorite.
Since 2022, Philipp Scheucher has been a member of SYMPHONIACS, an international electro-classical music project by the Berlin-based composer and producer Andy Leomar, which combines classical music and electronic club music.
His solo debut album “QUASI FANTASIA” was created in collaboration with Grammy Award winner Georg Luksch and was released in June 2019 by KNS Classical. The double album “Concert apéritif du Piano ” followed in November 2020 on “Tours fabuleux!” as well as the “BEETHOVEN” album at Naxos 2022. Philipp Scheucher is a “ Boesendorfer Artist” .
