Milica Lalosevic is a soprano from Kotor, Montenegro. She received her musical education in her hometown at the “Vida Matjan” music school, where she studied both theoretical and singing departments. She furthered her education in Belgrade at the Academy of Fine Arts and went on to complete her studies at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome.
During her time as a student, she participated in and won several competitions and festivals, including the Lazar Jovanovic competition in Belgrade, the Bruna Špiler International Festival in Herceg Novi, and the Rolando Nicolosi competition in Rome.
Milica gained her first stage experience performing the role of Valetto in the opera “The Coronation of Poppea” by Claudio Monteverdi, led by maestro Egon Mihajlović in 2006. Since 2016, she has been studying under the tutelage of Prof. Snežana Nena Brzaković at the Staatsoper Berlin in Germany.
In 2017, Milica received a scholarship to take part in the International Festival of Young Opera Artists in Berlin. There, she won the “Grand” award at the “Internationaler Opernkurs Oper Oder Spree.” The following year, she won first prize at the competition Musica in Scena in Cantù, Italy, where she performed several concerts with Mozart’s opera and concert arias under the baton of Maestro Pierluigi Gelmini with the Orchestra Sinfonica del Lario.
Her performance of the oratorio “A Child of Our Time” by Michael Tippett at the Berlin Konzerthaus in 2019 is particularly noteworthy, performing with choir, orchestra, and soloists, led by Vinzenz Weissenburger from the Staatsoper Berlin.
In August 2019, Milica performed “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by F. Mendelssohn under the baton of Eraldo Salmieri at the Operosa festival, the only opera festival in Montenegro.
From 2018 to 2020, Milica was a member of the Opera Studio at the National Theater in Belgrade, where she performed the role of Bastienne in Mozart’s opera “Bastien und Bastienne,” Amore in the opera “The Coronation of Popeye,” the role of the shepherd in the opera “Toska,” and the role of Sofka in the opera “Kostana” by P. Konjovic.
In 2022, Milica participated in the 70th Ljubljana Festival, where she interpreted the role of Frasquita in the opera “Carmen” by G. Bizet, led by Simon Krečić from Slovenia. She also performed the same role at the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor, conducted by Jon Svinghmmar.
